Today I shared this layout from my Two Peas Garden this month at my Paper Party site. We are having so much fun and sharing lots of inspiration from our incredible designers. Each of them have an article they share twice monthly. Ranging from Anna-Maria’s tips on layering, Wilna’s awe-inspiring techniques and Stephanie’s Time’s Up article-fast layouts with style!

Feeling especially sappy looking at this page & picture since 11 years ago tonight this boy got on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was quite the fiasco. It started with a limo. I had no idea any of this was going to happen. I was half asleep after a long day of working as a teller at a bank when I heard someone knock at the door. This kind of creepy guy made me nervous to open the door more… pointed to the limo and said he was taking me to Collin. When I stepped inside there was a tape player… (yes, a cassette tape) on it Collin talked about how we met and told our love story. Next I ended up at the Mount Timpanogas temple where there was a line of roses stretched across the grass each tied with a ribbon and a reason of why he wanted to marry me. (I still have each reason he typed out.) Then the roses led me to a table with more flowers, candles, etc etc. He jumped out in a spiffy, black suit and it was all over the top cheesy & romantic. This day is embedded in my memory! I swear I slept that night with a permanent smile on my face. Oh, and a flashlight so I could look at my ring when it as dark… no kidding. haha!
Oh, and one of my favorite parts of the story was making the limo driver stop at Food-4-Less so I could buy a disposable camera since I ran out the door so fast and forgot my camera!!

Fiasco? It sounds like it was a dream come true, or something straight out of a movie. I can’t even imagine my guy remembering beforehand to get me something for valentine’s day, let alone plan such an extravagant event. You lucky, lucky girl!

I said yes ten years ago today. :)

  18. Tanya says:

So it’s kind of weird that I’m 2 or 3 weeks behind you in my pregnancy, with my fourth, and I will have three girls and a boy when I have this baby, and my 11th anniversary is coming up in June…kind of strange, in a good way… :) Love your sappy story.
