Today I saw the light of day after laying low all this week… and by laying low I mean on the couch. Besides a meeting at American Crafts to finish up the last details of my next Dear Lizzy line I have been inside all day like a vampire. A sick vampire that is. Somehow my car led me to a Ballet Barre studio that I’ve been meaning to try out. The class seriously kicked my bootie… I remember in the middle of the class when my legs were shaking (Which is apparently what you want. You want your legs so tired and hurting that they shake. Sounds fun, right?!) I thought to myself “I’m never coming back here! Quick! Run out while no one’s looking.” But when it was over I felt great and I decided-I will be back!
Then I surprised Avery at her school and ate lunch with her and her classmates. I’m totally still cool to 1st graders. Maybe it’s because I’m really good at putting straws into juice boxes with out squirting the juice everywhere. And I still laugh at dumb jokes. I’m just glad it’s still awesome to have mom hanging around. I also stopped some drama on the next table over… something about a jump rope at recess and someone isn’t invited. There were lots of tears. Well, I took care of that too…! Just doing what I can for this world. ; ) Now it’s dishes and laundry-so glamourous!
