Geometric shapes are really catching my eye lately. It must be the clean and crispness that I am drawn to. It’s inspiring to see how other bloggers are sparked by certain trends as well. I’ve asked a handful of some of my favorite bloggers to share diys and projects with geometric inspiration in mind. The first Love Triangle post was from Danyelle where she created a deco art project with washi tape. This next guest post is from Alison.

She writes and creates for The Alison Show and it’s one of my new favorites… her craft ideas are unique & she doesn’t take life too seriously. Plus, she’s pretty hilarious to hang out with. Today she’s sharing a project using her recent favorite medium: polymer clay. Have you ever made anything with polymer clay before? I haven’t and it seems fun… I want to run to Hobby Lobby (Roberts RIP) and pick some up, like now. Here’s a great tutorial she put together to make clay triangle earrings with a little chain fringe. So cute, right?!

Supplies:
Polymer clay//Eye pins//Thin gold chain//Hook earrings//Razor blade//Needle Nose pliers//Sculpey Glaze (optional) with a cheap paint brush
Here’s what Alison had to say: “These triangle drop earrings are inspired by leather baby mobiles I sell and make for friends! I chose to make them in varying shades of a minty green–perfect for spring. These earrings are easy to make in multiples, so be sure to make yourself a pair while you’re whipping some up for your bestie! I’ve illustrated how to make them in pictures, but for more details on working with polymer clay check out my video on The Alison Show.“

Be sure to check out her blog for other cool ideas & video tutorials including one for the earrings above. She also shares some of her favorite DIY Polymer Clay Projects that she rounded up from the web. Thanks Alison!! (with one l… I just had to go back through and delete an extra l from each Alison. : )
