High five… for actually being able to see my desk. Wahoo! This place has been a scary sight. Well, about a year ago I moved my office to our dungeon of a basement. It was nice but seriously I just never would go down there. Usually I craft in spurts when the kids are distracted playing for a minute or I sneak in a few minutes here and there but when it was downstairs I couldn’t really sneak away. I am happy I moved it all back upstairs and I’m back in business baby! Tonight Collin hung some spiffy shelves and a rail to hang stuff on. We hit up Ikea for it all and got lost in their mouse maze but rewarded ourselves with an ice cream then piled all our goods into the car. Soooo, I got everything off my desk and and am enjoying the next 5 minutes while it remains clean… it is still clean… it is still clean…
I also have a high-top table on the other side of the desk by some windows that is piled with stuff at the moment so don’t be too proud of me. I’m going to share more about my space and details when I get it more cute for ya. Until then ladies, I am resting up since I’m sick and trying to work on some fun things when I feel up to it. In a couple days I have a pretty cool announcement and also a giveaway. Stay tuned my friends!
xo, Lizzy

Hope you feel better soon! Love the wall color you picked, I was debating between something similar and green (went with the green). And Ikea is the bomb!!!!

I made myself feel better once by ordering the IKEA catalog since I don’t have one anywhere near me…then it arrived and I did not feel better, just more jealous. And to top it off they have food?! Oy. Get well soon!

  7. I can relate to scrapping in the basement…I was down there for YEARS and then we remodeled the basement for our son Ben and gave him a bedroom down there, put my littlest in Ben’s old bedroom and I took the littlest room and turned it into a scraproom! SO nice to scrap in the “heat” and not be freezing and having spider friends run across my desk…hope you feel better soon, we just had a fever run ramant through our house, yuck! Your room looks great, can’t wait to see the rest :)

Yep, freezing and spiders. eck! Sooo much happier to be back upstairs.
Seriously, as soon as I thought I’d get better I woke up and am worse. Bleh. Thanks for the well wishes.

I had my own place and an area to scrapbook in it but I was never home so I never used it. I would cart everything I use to my local scrapbooking store and scrapbook there for hours at a time. (the joys of being single and childless for now) Now I am back to renting a room again til Feb. Let me tell you, I totally took my space for granted and will not do it again! I so just want my own space back so I can scrapbook at home :)

Congrats on getting your creative space back and organized so it is useable :) Enjoy it!

ok.,.weird, Lisa here again. Your book announcement has dissappeared. Soooo??? The post looking funny too, like you at your desk, that dissappeared then the book info popped up. Now it is just the I moved to a room upstairs post. Ummmm??

  23. I am totally with ya on the basement thing. I have a devoted craft room in the basement, but most of my stuff has moved up into my husband’s office, which is right off our dining room. He is just thrilled, let me tell ya! ha. It just works out so much better being close to all the action.
